Brian Housewert is an urban homesteader in South Florida.  He and his family are working towards sustainablity by creating their own paradise on the 1/3 acre parcel in the middle of Golden Gate City.  They are two years into the journey on the Golden Gate City plot, and have spent almost 6 years experimenting with urban farming, raising livestock, growing medicinal herbs and food.  The Housewert family is focusing on creating sustainability on a small parcel of land, developing community and expanding knowledge through education.  South Florida has a unique sub-tropical climate, so the possibilities are endless.  Join us!  We can build and learn together!  Yard tours and courses are available upon request.
